Disputes

Disputes and right of reply

A consultancy can flag a report it believes is false, misleading, or missing important context. Sachho reviews disputes within 7 working days.

What happens during review

The report usually stays published but is visibly marked as disputed. Outcomes can be upheld, amended, removed, or dismissed.

Right of reply

A claimed consultancy may publish a response below a report. This does not give control over student reports.

Licence checks: a commitment before publication

Sachho does not publish a negative licence finding about a consultancy it has not managed to contact. If a check does not find a consultancy on the government's renewed list, Sachho tries to reach that consultancy first. Nothing about it appears on the public page until they have been notified and either responded or a set number of days has passed with no reply -- and if Sachho cannot reach the consultancy at all, that result is held indefinitely rather than published anyway. Being unreachable is never treated as grounds to publish; it is a reason to keep trying.
